SETTLE IN FOR A LONG RUN OF COLLECTABLE LPs OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES!!  This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1968 U.S. PRESS VANGUARD RECORDS self-titled LP from San Francisco psychsters Notes From The Underground, one of the original San Francisco psychedelic bands who were as diverse and creative as any of the other better known and better respected groups from that very creative and fruitful scene but who do not seem to get the respect or notoriety afforded to the rest of their San francisco psychedelic contemporaries.  It is Vanguard Record catalog number VSD-6502.   Notes From The Underground are: Fred Sokolow-lead guitar, banjo, mandolin, tambourine, vocals / Mark Mandell-rhythm guitar, acoustic guitar, vocals / Skip Rose-piano, electric piano, organ, harpsichord / Mike O'Connor-bass, vocals / Peter Ostwald-drums.   Tracks: Follow Me Down, I Wish I Was A Punk, Mainliner, Down In The Basement, What Am I Doing Here, Where I'm At, Cantaloupe Island, Why Did You Put Me On, Tristesse, Who Needs Me.  Condition of record is a real nice NM- with all original gloss and just a very few very light and small sleeve marks which are not the result of use, only show up under strong light, cannot be felt, and do not affect play.   Condition of cover is VG+ with a couple of small wrinkles, some fraying along the edges, some ring and contact wear, and some  general wear along the edges and on the corners.  There are no splits, tears, stickers, or writing.   This unheralded LP would be a choice addition to any late 1960s psychedelic record collection!
