Offered here is a factory-sealed original stereo pressing of Cool Burnin’ with the Chet Baker Quintet (Prestige PR 7496).

This session captures Chet Baker in a soulful, swinging hard bop groove, backed by an ace lineup. Recorded during Baker’s highly productive late '50s/early '60s period with Prestige, Cool Burnin’ shows his cool, lyrical trumpet phrasing at its very finest, alongside some hard-charging arrangements that still breathe sophistication and ease.
