Description
No reserve auction! NOT the 2012 reprint! Simply the finest copy of this rare and sought-after album that you're likely to find. A still brand new, still sealed copy of Kenneth Higney's 1976/1985 'holy grail' masterpiece "Attic Demonstration". This is one of just 1000 that were pressed (half in 1976, the other half in 1985, both issues using the 1000 jackets and LP labels that Higney had printed in 1976.) This copy has the 'address-change' stickers that Higney used when he released the 2nd 500 copies. Stunningly, this copy is still factory-sealed, unopened after 30-plus years. I am the original owner of this record - I was the manager of a record store in the 70's and 80's in Ohio when I was introduced to this strange home-made record by a friend. For some reason (!) I loved it, and promptly bought a couple copies because I knew this would disappear into oblivion instantly. Disappear it did, but not before resurrecting itself and making an huge impact among fans of left-field home recordings. This copy I never opened. It is in virtually perfect condition, at least as perfect as a 30+ year old record will be. It is clean, bright (never exposed to light), flat, undamaged. It's only faults appear to be just the most minimal of bumps to a corner or 2 (we're talking tiny), and the inevitable yellowing of the two stickers Higney used to update his address when he moved. An amazing copy of a historic, and rare, record.
