Description
This is not a political speech,
it's a famous recitation from "Tasso", a play by the German dramatist Johann Wolfgang von Goethe by two great performers:
Gustav Gründgens, 22 th December 1899 – 7th October 1963, was one of Germany’s most famous and influental actors of the 20th century, intendant and artistic director of theatres in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Hamburg. His most famous roles were in works by Goethe. And
Emmy G., born Emma Johanna Henny Sonnemann, 24th March 1893 – 8th June 1973 in Munich, was a German actress. In 1935 she married the Luftwaffe Commander-in-Chief Hermann G. After the end of the war, a German denazification court sentenced her to one year in jail. When she was released, 30 percent of her property was confiscated, and she was banned from the stage for five years. She don't started a new career.
12" Electrola EH/S 1940, matrices 2RA4404-1 and 4405-2, recorded 1940 in Berlin. The proceeds of the records was donated to the German Red Cross.
In case you don't understand German, anyway you can feel the emotions and the intensity of the great perform ! It's a very rare recording and a unusual label.
Condition: 2, a little scratch at beginn causes 5 clicks / 1-2, slight traces of use.
Grading:
1 = mint, never played on gramophone, is not used
1-2 = top copy, no traces of use - virtually as new
2 = excellent copy, few light non-sounding rubs/marks
2-3 = light traces of wear (rubs/marks), very light greying and/or light scratches, non sounding blemishes
3 = a good average copy with more noticeable rubs and marks; light greying, few light scratches possible
3-4 = more traces of use, sonic wear from light greying. An inferior average copy, light scratches possible
4 = some sounding wear, heavier rubs and marks, scratches possible
5 = obvious sounding wear, heavy rubs, marks, scratches. An unsatisfactory copy.
