Description

About This Record.  Here's a summary but please see details below about LP Cover, LP Vinyl, and Labels below. This is a keeper copy (although vinyl has one minor defect reflected by the EX- grade) of the absolutely very first pressing of the seminal rock psych LP by The Small Faces entitled Ogden’s Nutflake in original five (5) fold out circular cover, with three (3) hinges on the cover perfectly intact, matching three (3) hinged plain paper innersleeve (super rare!!); cover has ONLY the UK Patents number (see photo) not the later no Design Application Number verbage, and the “Printed and Made in England by Garrett Lofthouse” on the back of the cover on one of the otherwise blank circular discs.  Near Mint Lilac Gray Labels have the K T J raised Tax Code stamp on Side 2, and on Side 1 is the “For Amazing results this record should be played at full volume” banner on Side 1;  -1L P and -2L H matrices AND the rarely seen original round paper three (3) hinged plain paper innersleeve that matches the cover.  Yes, this LP did come with a hinged fragile round plain paper innersleeve, not just a round plastic innersleeve which came as a replacement or in later pressings.. PLEASE see all my additional photos and details regarding condition of the cover and vinyl below.  The photos of the labels or cover list the songs and any possible details about the labels. See my other RARE records for sale (and maybe some cool 1960s psych etc. LPs I am selling with NO Reserve!).

PLEASE Read my Feedback if you have questions about my grading as Feedback says alot and you can see my gradings and peoples comments.  I offer full refund including shipping both ways (for USA buyers) in case for some wildly strange reason you might be unhappy with this purchase.  Comes cleaned on my VPI Record Cleaning machine and placed in a new dust-free sleeve.

Please note that I work for eBay and this link is to the Code I have to abide by as an eBay employee:  http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/everyone-employee.html I have no clue who works in the Collectibles Division and am not involved in any policy or other decisions that go on; I just happen to like vinyl and happen to work at eBay.

Cover Condition: Near Mint minus Top Copy!  This is the 5 panel cover, all hinges are intact.  minor shelf wear.  minor pressure marks on cover, and a very very light small crease or two. Top Copy! Note this comes with matching plain paper innersleeve that is also hinged. See Photos.

Vinyl Condition: EX- vinyl.  Original UK MONO Immediate Records Vinyl weighs precisely 135 grams! The only problem is on side two on the spoke part of Bad John there is a very small non-feelable stylus mark that makes 3-4 concentric pops.  Otherwise, just light paper marks from the stiff round circular paper hinged (to match cover) innersleeve, and the usual light back ground noise on some spoken words parts on side two.  The last two spoken word parts on side two play EX+ but the first ones play VG+ with some background noise, although the music plays strong EX+; sounds great.  Side One plays EX+ but also like every copy has just a touch of light background noise.  Tough to upgrade!

Inserts:  Comes with super rare plain paper round circular hinged paper innersleeve that matches the design of the cover (small dirt smudges on back of plain paper round cover . . . or is that the front?), but the vinyl also comes cleaned on my VPI Record Cleaning Machine and in a new innersleeve (so the old dust does not reattach!  OH my gosh!!.

Labels:  Near Mint "Lilac Gray" labels very first pressing with circular "for amazing results" banner quoted above (see Photos)  Side Two labels have the Super Rare raised K T J stamp code (see Photo 12) in raised letters around the spindle hole, which along with the round paper innersleeve and the above noted cover features, are also indicative of the very first pressing.

Packaging.  I clean all vinyl on my V.P.I. Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with the LP if it is the original.  I separate the vinyl in its new sleeve after cleaning from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection.  I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack with at least one insert stiffener, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and “Fragile” to help facilitate a safe passage.

About Me.  I have been a Record Collector for Decades.  I bought this many years ago during my travels and have kept it well-preserved in plastic sleeves and vinyl separated outside the cover.

Shipping and Payment.  PayPal only.  I ship promptly worldwide; sometimes the automatic eBay invoice does not have accurate shipping if you buy more than one LP, so if you are unsure email me and ask for an invoice. . . . I will ship by any method you want.  But if you do not pay for protecting your purchase by requesting insurance, or expensive International Priority Mail, then please understand the record will be shipped at your own risk and not mine.  I offer full refund on this record including shipping both ways, unless you live outside North America in which case I will refund you shipping one way unless I made a mistake which I sometimes do because I am only human..  CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS:  Please add sales tax!
