As you can clearly see in the photos the records themselves appear in pristine condition. Like the other "like new" sets I'm selling there always seems to be some natural factory wear to cardboard on the top exposed cardboard corners (here or there) but nothing major you can see in the clear numerous photos. This is a rarity as It Comes with its original factory mobile fidelity sound lab shipping box! There are signs of shipping wear like labels and writing on the factory shipping box itself from when they were shipped by professional record reseller to my audiophile client in 1995. I will ship this box protected by another box as I am aware that most of these sets do not have the original shipping box! Don't bid if you're not comfortable with the shipping price. They pay a second party to handle shipping and they ship with insurance and signature via FedEx and it's not cheap to do that. Consider it part of the purchase price.
Until listing this set appeared sealed. The records purchased & stored in 1995. The record reseller listed this set as "new" & It was shipped in its original box that you see pictured here. It was stored in an air-conditioned home since then and now it has seen the light of the day for the first time in 22+ years. The Mobile fidelity shipping tape was still attached to the box though it had dried out significantly but I carefully pulled out the contents to show to you for the purposes of reselling. I'm not a professional record reseller but this will sell itself. These albums are crisp and clean and when you pull album out of the sleeve it has that new/mint look & feel to it. Study the pictures to determine the condition for yourself. We sell all of our items as they are pictured so consider that part of the description.
We do not negotiate after a bid is made and we're not going to get into nitpicky arguments about condition etc. If that is something you might want to do...please go onto the next $900 used version. This is a deal. Conservatively you could call the set "near mint" condition with no serious issues as you can see from the highly detailed photos. Even the new beatles set I just opened (and I am selling in another auction) shows minimal wear to the top & bottom binding corners just from being moved around and shipped from the factory. Apparently Mobile fidelity record sleeves always show some of this minimal wear to the exposed outside corners but I'm just nitpicking to make sure you'll be satisfied. If you see the many pics there's nothing serious to worry about. Last it appears I missed placed one of the factory Styrofoam corners but I will use secure packaging before shipment. On condition: I do not mean to sound defensive but the last thing I want to do is send this beautiful set of someone who isn't thrilled to get it or wants to argue about grading. No sale is worth that so I leave it to you to study the many pictures and bid only on what you see.
