PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER).  OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.

One of the best things about record collecting is that there are always new discoveries to be made.  Take this one, for example.  A Morrison Hotel Elektra butterfly label with a PRC stamp in the dead wax on BOTH sides and under the catalog number to the left of the spindle hole on both labels!  What's even more intriguing about this copy is that the catalog numbers in the top corners on the front and back of the cover have been covered with what look like other catalog numbers on a sticker.  I contacted several trusted veteran hardcore collectors about this pressing and the best we could come up with was that this was one of the earliest record club pressings and the stickers are the unique club catalog numbers assigned to this LP (i.e. before the record clubs started printing the numbers on the labels and covers).  One of my trusted colleagues had a Led Zeppelin II with the same type of stickers once upon a time and after some research discovered that was the case.  This pressing also has the Specialty Records Corporation logo stamped in the dead wax, making this one even more perplexing as VERY few butterfly pressings were manufactured at Specialty.  Anyone with ANY information about this one please do contact me to shed some light as I'm completely stumped.  This one is an absolute rarity as there is NO Discogs entry and absolutely ZERO google hits.  LP is a gorgeous near mint minus and cover is a beautiful VG++/NM-with just a tiny ding on the tip of the top left hand corner.  You will not be disappointed.

I USE GOLDMINE GRADING:  MINT (SEALED)  NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED  VG++:  VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE  VG+:  AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL  VG:  STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS  GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE  POOR:  FILLER COPY ONLY.  LOTS OF SCRATCHES
