Description
For sale is a near mint 1980 UK pressing (Cherry Red Records) of the Dead Kennedys album Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables.
I am a record collector, not a store, and I grade conservatively using a NM, VG+, VG, VG-, G scale. I do not use EX.
The record itself it stunning; it looks brand new and unplayed. It is not unplayed, because I played it a couple of times, never dropping the needle by hand, using a Shure m97xe cartridge on a Dual 1229 turnable, listening with Grado SR125 headphones. It sounded brand new, too. I did not hear clicks or pops. (Granted, it is a loud punk record, so there are not really quiet parts.) I grade the record as NM. I cleaned it on my VPI record cleaning machine. (See photos.)
The album includes the original Cherry Red inner sleeve that is in great shape. Also included is a poster, which is great shape, too. The cover itself has a few creases coming off of the spine and some edgewear, but there are no splits. I grade the cover as VG+.
