Description

DGC DGC-24607 on clear vinyl with printed inner sleeve. This is the story behind this. I bought this from the 'Records for Sale' section in the back of the August 1998 issue of Record Collector. I don't have the magazine anymore but I know I paid a lot of money for it (if you still have the magazine you can go back and see!). The seller lived in Milton Keynes so I decided to drive up from London one Saturday and pick it up in person. 

The cover was signed by Kurt and Dave (in permanent marker it looks like) at Nirvana's last ever gig, at Terminal 1 in Munich, Germany, on 1st March 1994. The LP came with a polythene outer sleeve with a thin yellow sticker on the top. I think the sticker is missing a part as on it is written SIGNED BY KURT & - MUNICH 1/3/94 - (that is how it was when I bought this). The polythene sleeve was a little bit worn so sometime afterwards I transferred the sticker to the PVC sleeve it is in now. 

I remember the seller telling me he had purchased this from the person who originally got it signed. I've always believed it to be absolutely genuine (it was why I was willing to part with so much money). I thought then, as I do now, if it was fake why does it only have Kurt & Dave's signatures on it?

The cover is in Very Good condition with a crease on the front at the top left-hand corner, a slight crease on the back in the top left-hand corner and some slight corner wear. The inner sleeve has some ring-wear but no seam splits. The record is in Excellent condition when viewed under an unforgiving bright halogen light.
