Nirvana : ...All Of Us A / B 1st press 1968 Island Records
This first pressing plays to a very high standard and with only minimal interference. S1 has a couple of clicks and S2 has a couple of static click type sounds right at the start but aside from that the clarity and depth of the audio is superb. There is barely any static and the overall playback is so clean and precise. The vinyl itself does have a little marking but this is purely superficial as described below. It certainly hasn't been played very much based on the audio and the lack of spindle wear.
The non-laminated cover is in excellent condition with some rubbing on the bottom edge being the main area of wear, no actual damage though. The inner sleeve at first look looks pretty good but does have one large side split.
This first pressing is generally found housed in a laminated cover. This non-laminated version is the rarer of the two in my opinion and is the first one I have ever sold.

Visual description
The vinyl is in very good condition but don't let that put you off! I say very good because there is a little mottling / fading and also a couple of small hairline scratches on S2 but this is superficial because they have zero impact on the audio. Under a bright light I can only see a very small number of faint hairlines and when you look at the vinyl under 'normal' lighting it does look superb, very clean indeed. The pink 'eye' textured labels are in superb shape with no marking and hardly any spindle wear and as stated there is still a little vinyl 'flecking' around the S1 spindle hole.
Play grading
The intro on 'Rainbow Chaser' is so close to perfect with only the lightest of background static on the first couple of seconds and one barely audible tick, you could easily miss it. The opening vocal section plays with perfectly and the depth and warmth on the first chorus is stunning. It continues in much the same way with no interference and the fade out has no background either. The first track to have extensive 'phasing' and it sounds superb here. A Mint- version.
'Tiny Goddess' has one click on the harpsichord section of the intro and then the opening vocal plays perfectly. The instrumental bridge is just as clean and the next vocal plays with genuine quality also. From then on it plays so clearly with just one other light click half way through, it's hardly intrusive. The following instrumental is flawless and the remainder is just as impressive. The vast majority plays with sublime clarity but overall I think Ex is fair.
The organ intro on 'The Touchables (All Of Us)' has only a couple of super quiet statics and the opening vocal is perfect. plays perfectly. The chorus plays with exceptional quality also and this clarity of sound is maintained on the rest of the track. No ticks, clicks or pops and only a couple of insignificant statics i.e. incredibly quiet! The closing instrumental / 'vocal' is a case in point - it plays so clearly with no interference. Mint-
'Melanie Blue' has only minimal light static on the intro for the first 2/3 seconds and the opening vocal is nigh on perfect, great clarity. The following chorus is even better and this relatively quiet number continues to play with a clarity and depth that cannot be faulted. I mean the first half is superb but the second half is STUNNING in every way and it has to grade as Near Mint at the very least.
'Trapeze' keeps up the standard and plays with phenomenal audio from start to finish with zero intrusion. Even as the volume descends into near silence after the first chorus there is no background. Every vocal and instrumental section play with such quality and I am confident in grading this as Mint- with only a handful of minor statics on the fade out.
The quiet intro intro on 'The Show Must Go On' plays so clearly with only a handful of mega quiet statics and as the volume increases the audio is indeed perfect. This instrumental continues to play with exceptional clarity and warmth - almost 'madrigal like' you could imagine it during the time of Henry VIII! For a final track the playback is incredible and if the intro is Near Mint then the rest is easily Mint
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The intro on 'Girl In The Park' has a couple of static click sounds and one minor tick and then the opening vocal plays to perfection. This high end standard is kept up and I only heard one minor static on the rest of the track. The intro is VG (very briefly) and is Mint- from then onwards.
'Miami Masquerade' plays with a clarity and definition that truly stand the test if time! It plays with unbelievable quality and there is no intrusion whatsoever. A couple of barely audible statics perhaps but nothing intrusive. Stunning sonic quality and the fade out has no background either. Mint-
'Frankie The Great' is very close to that with only a couple of minor ticks during the chorus and you could easily miss them if you weren't listening intently. The remainder plays with wonderful depth and warmth and I'll grade as Near Mint even if 99% is better than that. Another example also where the fade out plays perfectly.
'You Can Try It' once again shows just how well this vinyl has been preserved. Through every section it plays without fault and there are a number of quiet sections here of course. Seriously the warmth and depth of the audio here is STUNNING as is the clarity of sound - it has to grade as Mint - almost a George Michael vibe to this one!
The unique 'Everybody Loves The Clown' plays with outstanding quality also with no sign of any background. Children's TV anyone!! Mint
The quiet intro on 'St. John's Wood Affair' plays with great clarity and as it builds the playback is so deep and strong. The opening vocal section is just as impressive and the instrumental bridge is flawless. The next vocal has only a couple of super quiet statics and the mid instrumental is STUNNING! Largely very quiet the clarity is amazing and the remainder plays to the highest standard possible with no interference. For a final track the sonic quality is so impressive because there is no inner groove distortion and the sound is so clear and 'fresh'. Even the brief sax solo that ends it plays with sensational clarity! Another Mint- track and close to a near perfect side.
The Cover & Inner Sleeve
The cover is in very good to excellent condition but bordering more on the latter. The main area of wear is some rubbing on the bottom edge so it's not exactly obvious you could say. The top edge has only a little shelf wear and the thin spine is actually in great shape with hardly any wear. The corners do not have too much wear and the opening edge is in superb condition. The front cover is very clean with no real marking, just a little ringwear and a couple of minor specks and the back cover again just has some ringwear and some fading near the top edge. Considering it isn't laminated it has kept its shape extremely well and is a very strong example.
The original plain white inner has only minimal age related fading and hardly any other marking. It has one large side split and one tiny split on the bottom edge. It has only a little creasing.

The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
