Description
MEGA RARE AND VERY IN DEMAND ORIGINAL PRESSING OF A DUTCH ONLY LATIN FUNK COMPILATION LP OFFICIALLY RELEASED ON THE BLUE ELEPHANT/CAPRI LABEL, BE 899 006-H, CA 157, (197?).
One of the rarest compilation lp's around, featuring some of the best and funkiest afros latin tunes ever!!! The album features the cream off some of the VERY rarest and most expensive albums. It must have around £200 - £300 worth of classic club tunes on here. This is not your average compilation, every tune is a winner!!!
It features loads of mega funky tracks (listed below), so here are some of the highlights:-
The very in-demand "Caballo Negro" and "Ritual" from Nico Gomez and His Afro Percussion Inc (The best tunes from his "Ritual" lp) as well as his cool funky bossa tune "Aquarela" from another one of his rare and in-demand albums of the same name.
Ray Barretto is on here twice with his ill "Soul Drummers" and "Hard Hands", unbelievable latin funk with bongo's by the main man himself, a big David Holmes favourite.
Certains Lion's and Tigers are again on here twice, firstly with the slick hammond fuelled bangin' version of "These boots were made for walking" (this track has never sounded so good!) and "Como no Chachita" another sleazy hammond joint.
One of my favourite and rarest 45's appear on here "Voodoo Juju Obsession" by The Spirit of Voodoo. This is none other than library music legend Janko Nilovic, an Afro-latin beat workout, as sick as they come, MEGA RARE!!!
THE REMAINDER OF THE TRACKS ON THE ALBUM ARE AS HIGH QUALITY AS THE ABOVE, NOT A "FILLER" AMONG THEM
