My life has been characterized by many things and one of the most important was the music and of course the vinyl. I started collecting vinyl since I was 10 years old. And I sold my first record when I was 14 years old. From that time forward the vinyl has always had a place in my days. Just like ... now!

RECORD: VG++ Original U.K. copy with ILPS 9184 A1 U/ ILPS 9184 B 1 engraved in the dead wax. Minor scratches , scuffs and marks.

 COVER: VG++  Original U.K. gatefold copy. Except some light marks, and a couple little bit worn corners it's really beautiful jackets. NO ring-were, NO rear dog-ear corner,  NO hole, NO stains, NO seams and spine splits.  

"After two albums of tastefully orchestrated folk-pop, albeit some of the least demonstrative and most affecting around, Drake chose a radical change for what turned out to be his final album. Not even half-an-hour long, with 11 short songs and no more -- he famously remarked at the time that he simply had no more to record -- Pink Moon more than anything else is the record that made Drake the cult figure he remains. Specifically, Pink Moon is the bleakest of them all; that the likes of Belle and Sebastian are fans of Drake may be clear enough, but it's doubtful they could ever achieve the calm, focused anguish of this album, as harrowing as it is attractive. No side musicians or outside performers help this time around -- it's simply Drake and Drake alone on vocals, acoustic guitar, and a bit of piano, recorded by regular producer Joe Boyd but otherwise untouched by anyone else. The lead-off title track was eventually used in a Volkswagen commercial nearly 30 years later, giving him another renewed burst of appreciation -- one of life's many ironies, in that such an affecting song, Drake's softly keened singing and gentle strumming, could turn up in such a strange context. The remainder of the album follows the same general path, with Drake's elegant melancholia avoiding sounding pretentious in the least thanks to his continued embrace of simple, tender vocalizing. Meanwhile, the sheer majesty of his guitar playing -- consider the opening notes of "Road" or "Parasite" -- makes for a breathless wonder to behold."

For the purpose of our refund policy, no other deficiencies will be defined or acceptable as "defects": the scuffs, scratches and abrasions on the CD's or vinyl's surface, if any, are ALWAYS noted and described in our auctions to the best of our ability, and they are NOT considered to be defects.

We do not know how the purchased item will sound when played by the buyer. We can only make reasonable inference on the record's condition based on its visual appearance. The bidders should be cautioned that every bid carries a risk that the purchased item will underperform, or play worse than its visual grade may indicate. In addition, some play-grading standards are utterly subjective: one man's light, tolerable surface noise is another man's unbearable, degrading clatter. 

Our grading standards are not subject to dispute or debate, either during or after the auction. Bidders who have any doubts that our grading is up to their standards should either seek clarification from us while the auction is still in progress, or refrain from bidding altogether.
