Thanks for looking at my listing, which is for the original pressing of the Fruit Tree box set by Nick Drake. This was released in the UK in 1979 and contains all three of his albums, along with a few bonus tracks on the end of the Pink Moon LP. Included in the box set is a beautiful booklet with lyrics, photos and other info. Each album comes in an individual jacket with artist renditions of Nick, and each LP comes in a black poly lined inner sleeve. A unique feature of this particular copy is a rare Promo sticker, very uncommon for UK releases.
I have owned this almost 20 years and am only selling due to an upcoming move. The records, box and booklet are all in beautiful condition. All three albums are near mint and play beautifully from start to finish. One side of the Bryter Layter LP has very light surface marks that do not affect play. I listened to the entire side and heard two barely noticeable pops on the first two songs. All three albums were cleaned and vacuumed when I first obtained the set and are ready for your turntable. The box has good corners and no large scratches or tears that I see and is in excellent condition for its age.
While this is an amazing collection of his work in a beautiful presentation, there is one small caveat which may deter some buyers, and I want you to be aware in the event it would bother you. On the Pink Moon LP, during the transition between sides, the songs “Parasite” and “Free Ride” were switched in the running order. This may not bother you, and I can only assume it was done by the record company in the interest of space because one song is a bit longer than the other. But if you are used to a particular running order and heard the song out of order, it might be an issue for you, so I just want you to be aware in case it would.
As this is a larger item than a standard LP, I will take great care to ensure it gets to you safely without damage. I am a long time buyer and seller on eBay and will package it carefully. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
