NICK DRAKE - Bryter Layter
(UK First press on ISLAND, ILPS 9134 from 1970)
Matrix # -> ILPS 9134 A-1U/ ILPS 9134 B-1U
Label/Sleeve -> Island Pink Rim with the Witch on a broom on the label. Textured Sleeve printed at E.J. Day group, London and Bedford (as printed on the back in Black). Light Blue original poly –sleeve.
Grade (Cover/Vinyl) -> VG+ / EX to EX+
Description -> Vinyl looks clean and shiny, and plays with great warmth and depth and fidelity. Just one tiny faint spindle mark visible on one side and just a couple faint spindle marks on the other side. Under strong light, only some ultra fine paper sleeve marks are visible, a couple very faint feel-able mark that causes 5 to 6 audible lightest of ticks and two of them are between the tracks. On visual inspection its very difficult to spot them.. Plays with lightest of background sound barely noticeable, though I am using Class A pickup and High efficiency speakers which tend to pick up everything. Cover has some light/medium general overall rub wear and some light creases including spine. ). NO Writing, All Seams are intact. On the front right towards the edge opening, a little paint touch up has been done to cover wear (about 2 inches by 1 inch) .(SEE Picture nicely matched to the naked eye).

PLAYED it again on my CLASS A Audiophile Set up.. The grades are fairly conservative, so one should not be disappointed. Also, I may have attached a much older image of the label and not entirely sure if it is the correct one, so I have taken another couple pictures of the labels (Both Side 1 and Side 2) and have uploaded them and attached to the listing. Please check them out so that you know exactly what you are getting. I try and make my listings as transparent as possibly by noting everything that may matter.
Feel comfortable and bid on it. Real top copies go for many times more these days and are growing in value every year.. so get it while you can.
