NICK DRAKE - Bryter Layter - LP UK 1st Press A-1U RARE Superb

Nick Drake's widely reported reluctance to perform live nor be interviewed certainly contributed to his lack of commercial success. His concerts were poorly attended and records sold poorly as a result. His hauntingly beautiful voice literally went un-noticed. Sadly, this album (released in 1970) sold in small quantities. Not only is this album still one of the most highly sought-after records to this very day, but it also contains one of the most hauntingly beautiful music and production I've ever come across.

The heavily-textured 1st-press sleeve has a credit misprint for Robert Kirby that says "all string and bass arrangements" on the back cover, it should've been "all string and brass arrangements".

Condition :

Cover - It's in superb condition.. the thin cover is still as hard/tough as new, the opening edges are still as straight as new.. just slightly let down by some storage wear on the spine (pls see photos), strictly graded Excellent to Excellent+++.


Labels - Graded Excellent+++.


Vinyl - Superb condition all around, graded Excellent+++ to near Mint visually. Faint statics in places, graded Excellent+++ to Near Mint aurally.
