Iron Maiden are an English heavy metal band formed in East London in 1975 by bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris. Iron Maiden achieved initial success during the early 1980's, as pioneers of the new wave of British heavy metal, despite little radio or television support. "The Final Frontier" is their fifteenth studio album, released in 2010. The album received favorable reviews and peaked at #1 in 28 countries. One single was released as a free digital download, "El Dorado", which won a Grammy Award in the Best Metal Performance category. The cover features the band's mascot "Eddie", transformed into a green alien predator. Iron Maiden knows it is most important to give their fans what they want and expect.
