Description
- Neil Young released the original soundtrack recording to his art film "Journey Through The Past" in November 1972 on Reprise Records. The film got terrible reviews but the soundtrack is wonderful with an eclectic mix of cuts that include live recordings by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, television appearances with Buffalo Springfield, and outtakes from Neil's "Harvest" sessions with the Stray Gators. This record is now out-of-print and it was never even given a proper release on CD in the U.S.
- This copy (2XS 6480) is from the first pressing and is in excellent condition. The unusual four-panel die-cut gatefold cover is easily VG+ as are the two custom inner sleeves. Please see the pictures. The discs test play cleanly and are also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered by Lee Hulko at Sterling Sound in NYC and pressed at the Columbia Records plant in Terra Haute, Indiana. The Side 1 dead wax is etched 2XS 6480 3512-1A and stamped Sterling LH 2T.
- In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with two high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeves to hold the vinyl discs and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

- This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 48 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
