Description
Early pressing from the 1972 stamped at Sterling NYC with Lee Hulko mastering. These tend to sound best. This copy has excellent vinyl and plays well throughout. Side Two has three ticks at the start of "Old Man" and settles down after a bit. That being said, the sonics on this pressing are stunning with lots of air around Neil's voice, sweet steel and acoustic guitars, warm solid low-end on bass and drums. Listen to the samples! The grungy guitars on "Alabama" really sting (and inspired Ronnie Van Zandt to write "Sweet Home Alabama" in response) This is one of the best sounding Harvest albums you are likely to hear. Parchment gatefold cover has seam splits top and bottom at opening. Poster lyric insert and inner sleeve included. These are getting very hard to find in any kind of condition.
