NEIL YOUNG  -  'Decade'     3LP     UK     1977    Reprise  K64037 (3RS 2257)

Wonderful ‘anthology’ style 35 track compliation album spanning Neil Young’s career from 1966 to 1976, including tracks by Buffalo Springfield and CSN&Y.  

Includes 5 tracks that were previously unreleased up to that point.  

In tri-gatefold sleeve. 

CONDITION:       STRICT  U.K. MAGAZINE  'RECORD COLLECTOR'  GRADING SYSTEM USED.  I aim to provide an accurate and honest appraisal of condition.  It’s in my best interests to do so.  I WANT YOU TO COME BACK.    All records are checked in good natural light and play tested IN FULL at a high volume on a Project Xtension 10 turntable fitted with an Ortofon 2M Red stylus (tracking at 2g).    Used records are cleaned using a Moth vacuum record cleaning machine prior to play testing, unless condition deems unnecessary. 

Playing condition ranges from VG- to EX+.  Some audible surface noise/crackle in places.  Long hair-line mark causes audible light consecutive pops on a couple of tracks on side2.   Other occasional odd audible pop(s).    Overall, NO loud overpowering crackle  NO loud distortion.  NO jumps  NO sticking.

Visually, in good daylight, the vinyl is EX/EX+.   Previously mentioned hair-line mark on side2 (see photos).   Other very low number of noticeable light surface-only marks/scuffs.  Playing surfaces nice and clean and retain their original sheen.

Labels are NrMINT.    Few and light spindle marks.   All text perfectly readable.    NO writing.   NO stickers.

Cover grades as VG+, if not a fraction better.    Obvious patches of edge and corner wear.  Some creasing.   All spine text perfectly readable.   NO seam splits  NO nasty long rips/tears  NO writing  NO stickers.

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or deface

POOR (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

BAD (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler
