Very rare, mint condition UK ,original, 1975 vinyl double album with beautiful, gatefold picture sleeve on the red & silver, Argo Record Label, ZDA. 164. This is a double album recorded live at Southwark Cathedral and is a celebration of Shakespeare's Birthday in music. (and what music!!!). It features original pieces by Ian Carr ("Will's Birthday Suite"), Stan Tracey ("Alas Sweet Lady"), Mike Gibbs ("Sonnet") and Neil Ardley ("Shal I Compare Thee" and "Charade For The Bard"). The players featured are amongst the best British Jazz Musicians of the time - Gordon beck, Paul Buckmaster, Tony Coe, Pepi Lemer, Ron Mathewson, John Taylor, Trevor Tomkins, Stan Tracey, Colin Walker, Kenny Wheeler and Norma Winstone.
