Recorded on January 31, 1965 in Germany, this session features Nathan Davis on tenor, soprano and flute, Woody Shaw on trumpet, Larry Young on piano, Jimmy Woode on bass and Billy Brooks on drums. SIDE ONE: THE FLUTE IN THE BLUES; SPRING CAN REALLY HANG YOU UP THE MOST and HAPPY GIRL. SIDE TWO: EVOLUTION; THEME FROM ZOLTAN; ALONG CAME BYRD and mister E. This is a first pressing and is a STEREO recording.
I’ve graded both the vinyl and the record jacket as M- for the following reasons. The vinyl is clean of any marks on both sides. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole.
