NATHAN DAVIS & CARMELL JONES – THE HIP WALK – SABA 15 063 ST – M-/M- - STEREO
Recorded in Germany on September 1, 1965, this Saab session features Nathan Davis on tenor, soprano and flute, Carmell Jones on trumpet, Francy Boland on piano, Jimmy Woode on bass and Kenny Clarke on drums. SIDE ONE: THE HIP WALK; WHILE CHILDREN SLEEP and RRAIN OF THOUGHT. SIDE TWO: YESTERDAYS; THAT KAYCEE THING; CARMELL’S BLACK FOREST WALTZ and B’S BLUES. Prestige Records later released this material in the States on PR 7669 titled “Carmell Jones In Europe.” This is a STEREO recording.
I have rated both the LP and the folding record jacket as M- for the following reasons. The vinyl on both sides of the LP is clean, without any marks. It is close to Mint as possible. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole on either side. The record jacket is in excellent condition no sign of wear.
