This definitive new compilation takes us to the peak of her '60s/'70s stardom, pairing her perennially prized recordings with Lee Hazlewood with her collaborations with songwriter Mac Davis ("Hello L.A., Bye Bye Birmingham"), producer Lenny Waronker ("Hook and Ladder") and her "shoulda been a hit" song with arranger/producer Billy Strange, "How Are Things in California." Those join her endlessly cranked-up anthem "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" and her hits "So Long, Babe," "How Does That Grab You, Darlin'?," "Friday's Child," "Sugar Town," her Bond theme "You Only Live Twice," "Lightning's Girl" and "Happy" plus "Bang Bang" (used to great effect in Tarantino's "Kill Bill Vol. 1"), "Summer Wine," "Sand," "Lady Bird," "Jackson," "Paris Summer," "Machine Gun Kelly," "Some Velvet Morning"...
23 favorites and rarities in all.
This double-vinyl set was newly remastered from the original analog tapes and features liner notes by author/New Yorker music critic Amanda Petrusich as well as insightful new interviews with Nancy herself.
These 2 LPs come in a gatefold jacket with a 24-page booklet and are pressed on "Sugar Town Pink" colored vinyls.
This edition was limited to just 500 copies worldwide.
