Original cover, never used again on any of the later reissues. Also, the original lyric insert is included. It was later reproduced for the Featherbed reissue with the B.F. Deal information removed and supplanted with Featherbed information.
BEAUTIFUL and very rare copy of Nanci Griffith’s first record release on the original B.F. Deal label out of Austin, Texas. This copy is just beautiful with only a slight ring shadow on the cover and a NM disc. This LP does NOT pop up very often.
Many think the Featherbed version is the first release but it was actually a re-release in 1982. The graphics of the Featherbed makes it look like a first release, but it isn’t. The LP was reissued again in 1985 by MCA and in 1986 by Philo and as a (remastered sound) CD by Rounder in the 1990s.
If you love Nanci or are a fan or collector, this BF Deal copy is the crown jewel of the “Woods” releases.
BTW: Check out Nanci's photo on the back cover. She was 25 when this LP was released, but I swear he looks 16 in that photo. Maybe she was.
I was living in San Antonio when this was released and I bought this at the Inner Sanctum record shop off Guadalupe Street in Austin at the suggestion of a buddy that worked there. Never regretted the purchase.
Stored vertically in a smoke free environment for 38 years.
