Brief Info: Without doubt one of the best kept secrets in folk-rock music. What makes this remarkable debut album so special apart from the quality of this man’s song-writing is the incredible amount of talent that provides backing. Many almost hidden on the inside of the gatefold cover and several using pseudonyms to loosely hide their identities for contractual reasons. The truth is, this amazing album includes some of prog-rock’s greatest ever artists including Van der Graaf Generator, Robert Fripp, Brinsley Schwartz and Rick Wakeman. Vocals by Vertigo Spiral legend Linda Hoyle, Genesis’s Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins and Jon Anderson of Yes. It hardly gets better but how many people will actually be aware of this? I can even find no mention of this man’s music in ‘The Tapestry of Delights’ and the less-than-obvious promotion of the personnel on this superb album has simply been kept under-wraps. Hardly a major a seller as it should have been, this album is elusive and this is a very strong example. This indeed is the first copy of this one I have ever had and it more than lived up to expectation. Some quite magnificent songs are included and for fans of this man and the rock legends that feature throughout, this is inmissable and strongly recommended.
