Description

No.30 from 25th September 1965 with Joan Baez on the front page, this piece of pop history features pictures and/or articles on Dusty Springfield/Dennis Wilson/Manchester beat scene with articles and pics on Tommy Yates, Four Pennies & Graham Gouldman/Andrew Oldham column/The Who/Rolling Stones/Hollies/Walker Brothers/Sam the Sham and smaller articles and/or pics on the Rolling Stones/Hedgehoppers Anonymous/McCoys/Merseybeats/Dave Lee Travis as well as dozens of other pieces of interesting pop news of the day. Half of the back page is devoted to Mersey Beat with small pics/articles on the Clayton Squares/Swinging Bluejeans + other snippets.  Also has record reviews and a small letters section, the British Hit 100 singles(Must be the first mag to do this), US Hit 100 (another first in the UK I would imagine), and the Hit 50 LP's (Another first?). This issue has 16 pages and is quite large measuring 17" x 11", and  is one of thousands I bought new in the 60's. They've been in my loft and untouched for over 25 years. I've circled a Beau Brummels LP review and apart from very slight wear to the edges, is in excellent condition.  Superb condition for a 42 year old mag. I would imagine that most of these would have been thrown out over the years, making this and others I have quite rare. If you have any questions/need more detail etc, don't hesitate to ask. I'll be glad to help. Check my others out. Will be listing loads over the next few months, including Record Mirrors/Music Echo's/NME's.
