Description

Charles Munch & The BSO -
Ravel DAPHNIS AND CHLOE (Complete Ballet) -
Chesky Audiophile Pressing of the Rca Release - RC15 –
Recommended by TAS –
Factory Sealed

This is the wonderful Chesky pressing of the Rca recording captured in Symphony Hall on January 23 and 24, 1955. (That the warmth of the Hall is here and all around you makes this a thrilling audiophile/music lover experience.)

Please note, that Chesky releases are mastered by audio equipment designer Tim de Paravicini and flowed through tube gear only. Startling clarity and "richness" are the result.

A fine prize, with truly great sound, here factory sealed.

A TAS Note:

If you go by TAS in collecting fine pressings, let me point out that this release is on the list but with the wrong numbers affixed. It is not RC-30, which is Leibowitz POWER OF THE ORCHESTRA; instead, it is as stated here, RC-15.

For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
