Description
Very rare US mono pressing on the Chess piece label. The mono mix of this historical record is amazing. This is a "DJ Copy", making this mono pressing even rarer, and very nice sounding. I play graded this LP on my high end MC cartridge and it sounds fantastic. Powerful mono sound. Very clear without distortion or groove wear. Barely any pops or clicks. However, this is 1964 vinyl and it is a Chess pressing. There is some surface noise. I've had heaps of original Chess and Atlantic pressings and they all played with some surface noise, which is probably inherent to the vinyl composition used back then. My systems picks up all the noise; the record may quieter on your system, depending on your setup. The record has great gloss and looks really nice. There is a minor warp on Side 2; Side 1 is flat. The jacket has strong seams and is decently clean, with the usual age spotting. I've had this copy in my collection for about 10 years.
Jacket: VG+ Record visual: EX+ Record play grade: EX+ Cleaned on my Clearaudio Matrix record cleaner and place in a fresh Japanese inner sleeve. All LPs listed are from my personal collection.
