Gatefold Cover Condition

Cover is in beautiful M- condition.  No seam splits!  A super example, not even a tear to the loose fitting “shrink” wrap!

If you have been waiting for a “keeper” copy, an “archival” copy, an “investment” copy or just wanted to be sure you were getting a perfect, unplayed copy for your personal enjoyment (I hope it’s the last one!), I don’t think you will find a nicer example than this.  A super example that I acquired long ago!

Special Packaging Note: Sealed records such as this one are placed inside a plastic outer protective cover, and then "sandwiched" between two pieces of cardboard cut to a size larger than the album cover in order to protect the cover from corner-dings during shipping.  The edges are then covered with paper (to prevent any tape from touching the outer protective cover) and then tightly taped to prevent the record from slipping back and forth (inside the cover) during transit.  This back and forth “knifing” action can cause seam splits, and this packaging method does an excellent job of preventing seam splits. 

Double-Boxed

(for Priority mail in the U.S.)

This “sandwich” is then surrounded with bubble-wrap and placed inside a standard “Boxes Etc.” type standard cardboard record mailer, and sealed up tightly.  This box is then placed inside a much larger box, and stuffed with Styrofoam “peanuts” and crumpled up newspaper for insulation and shock absorption.  This double-boxed packaging method provides excellent protection (please see my feedback), but I still recommend the optional insurance for the more expensive items.

SEALED, perfect, like new!

Always stored properly in a heavy outer plastic protective cover, a beautiful example of a classic, highly desirable and increasingly rare sealed example of one of Muddy's best loved albums… 

12 years old now… amazing to find one still sealed and in top condition!

…and a required album for any Muddy Waters fan (or any fan of acoustic blues for that matter!), a very rare sealed example!

AMG Review (4 ½ Stars)

Muddy's "unplugged" album was cut in September of 1963 and still sounds fresh and vital today. It was Muddy simply returning to his original style on a plain acoustic guitar in a well-tuned room with Willie Dixon on string bass, Clifton James on drums, and Buddy Guy on second acoustic guitar. The nine tracks are divvied up between full rhythm section treatments with Buddy and Muddy as a duo and the final track, "Feel Like Going Home," which Waters approaches solo. What makes this version of the album a worthwhile buy is the inclusion of five bonus tracks from his next two sessions: An April 1964 session brings us Willie Dixon's "The Same Thing" and Muddy's "You Can't Lose What You Never Had," while the October 1964 session features J.T. Brown on sax and clarinet on "Short Dress Woman" and "My John the Conqueror Root," as well as "Put Me in Your Lay Away," another strong side. Folk Singer offers both sides of Muddy from the early '60s.  - by Cub Koda

Packaging:

You will see from my eBay feedback that I package very securely.  Records are removed from jackets to prevent seam-splits, records and covers are placed inside re-sealable plastic outer protective covers, and "sandwiched" between two pieces of cardboard cut to a size larger than the album cover in order to protect the cover from corner-dings during shipping. 

I have not had any problems with damaged records as a result of my own packaging, but I do recommend Insurance on the more expensive items, I cannot be held responsible for what happens to the package after it leaves my possession.

Shipping to the U.S.

Priority shipping for a package weighing anywhere from 2lbs. to 3lbs. is $5.00 to $9.00 depending on your location.  I do not charge a "Handling" fee, shipping calculations will be made using the USPS website  (http://postcalc.usps.gov/) based on your Zip code.

Payment for U.S. Buyers:
