This one looks great! Has a few small spots on the record that look like possibly pressing imperfections (see photos) which I was told are typically not seen or heard during play. No writing. Has been stored inside a plastic cover/sleeve that will come with. 

This record is one of many from a retired sound engineer turned radio station DJ’s private classical record collection mostly from the Golden Era of classical music. This collection is mainly geared toward the piano but literally has a little bit of everything.

I recently purchased the entire collection from the family of the original owner (he is 97 years old) and will be listing everything in it over the next few months. I tried listing it as one large lot but have since decided to break it up.

This huge collection consists of mainly classical golden era works, but also has some jazz records, poetry reads, Shakespeare, French recordings from his time spent in Paris ( 1950’s), over 100 box sets, over 700 singles, album books with the most rare and valuable lp’s archived and stored within them, shellac 78?s, 10 inch and 12 inch records, over 40 promos and radio station copies, very old and then also more modern music scores, and much much more!!

Mr. Taylor took great care of his collection and I was told that he has been the only owner of each and every album until now with myself as the second owner.

Most of these albums are in EXCELLENT, NEAR MINT or MINT (still sealed) condition with a few in VG+ condition. The previous owner notated on particular albums that had playback noise, and/or did not sound good even notating the exact timing of sound imperfections on a few of them.

After buying his records, he would tape them onto a reel player and then archive the vinyl. It is literally like visiting a record shop with new 40 - 70 year old records! I have thoroughly enjoyed researching and learning about each and every one of them and the subject of classical records/music as a whole. Discogs is a godsend!

I am not going to attempt to clean or test/play any of the records as I do not have the right equipment and do not want to inadvertently cause damage. I am also not going to attempt to visually grade any of these as I do not want to mislead anyone by saying the wrong thing, accidentally over-grading or under-grading.

Instead, I will take as many photos as possible from multiple angles using good lighting. I will describe each of them to the best of my ability including pointing out any imperfections that I spot. However, the photos will tell the story better than I ever could so please be sure to examine ALL photos very very carefully.
