Together 'Til The End Of Time - Every Little Bit Hurts - Where Were You - I've Got To Find It - Unchained Melody - Hurt A Little Everyday - I'll Be Available - You've Made Me So Very Happy - I've Been Good To You - Too Proud To Cry - I'll Always Love You - Operator - When I'm Gone - You Can Cry On My Shoulder - Just Look What You've Done - Starting The Hurt All Over Again.
This has to be one of the rarest releases on the Tamla Motown label, and the fact that it's a UK release (never issued in the US - although an LP was planned with the title Hurtin And Cryin') only adds to its appeal. Miss Brenda Holloway possesed an awsome set of vocal chords, which should have made her one of the companies top acts - sadly that didn't happen. However, she did record some great records, many of which are on this LP. The set covers tracks from the 64 - 67 period, and includes efforts from many a motown writer/producer. Liner notes from Marc Gordon.
The vinyl has a glossy shine, with minimal light surface marks. It plays great all the way through . . . no jumps, clicks etc. The labels are clean - you can just about see where a sticker was once on the label of side 1, but it hasn't affected the label - and there is only faint spindle marks. Grade VG+++.
The front cover is clean, with only a few creases. The back cover has a little discolouration, but it's clean, with the exception of a name written in the top-left-hand-corner. There is no edge-wear, and all the edges are intact. Grade VG++.
A really great hard-to-find LP - in great condition, and a must for any Motown/Northern Soul collector. E-mail me for additional photos, info etc.
Post and packing to the UK is £2.50, Europe £3.50, Rest of world £5.50.
Thanks for looking, and good luck if you're bidding . . . and look out for more motown rarities coming soon - including: - The Marvelettes, Marvin Gaye, The Marv Johnson, Martha & The Vandellas, The Miracles etc.
