Hi! You are bidding on The Motown Story, a five album box set released in 1970 by Motown Records, catalog number Ms 5-726. The records are in very good plus condition, with no scratches or skipping. There is light surface noise on the outside edges. The record box is in good condition. There is a long vertical light brown mark which runs directly through the center of the front cover. It is most noticeable at the top and bottom edges, where it becomes an actual scratch.
The five album set contains "58 golden hits that made Motown history." "Live, in person interviews, with the artists that recorded them." And this is my problem with this set. I realize that it is a "history" of Motown Records, but I could do without i could do without the "60s AM radio disc jockey" introductions by Charlie Van Dyke. I could also do without the artists talking over the instrumental beginnings of their songs. If they were going to do that, better to have the artist do the introduction, and then start the song from the intended beginning of the song. But that's just my opinion.
