THIS RECORD IS FROM OUR PERSONAL COLLECTION. Well maintained. Very Rare.

*Because our clients are mostly jazz collectors and connoisseurs, as we are, we made it our policy to only sell vinyl that we grade in VERY GOOD (VG) condition or better. This vinyl is in our opinion a VG+, looks and plays great.

Record Grade VG+ = Very well maintained. The vinyl is in nice condition. I just now listened to both sides of the whole album and it plays smooth and quiet. Shiny vinyl. We play grade all our albums and after just listening we find are a few surface scratches that have little to no effect on sound, occasional pops at most. Difficult to find this rare vintage record in such great condition. One owner. (see pictures) 

Jacket Grade VG = Shiny, clean, well maintained. We grade the jacket a VG and it would be a VG+ but it has a small 2 inch seem split on top. No tape as we left it for the next owner to decide due to the highly collectable nature of "White Fan" Atlantic records presings. This record is from our personal collection. Normal corner wear from shelf use. A very clean jacket for a 53 year old album. We have kept it in plastic since original purchase.

Mose Allison was already 34 years old and had recorded nine records as a leader before cutting his debut "I Don't Worry About A Thing" for Atlantic but this was his breakthrough date. One of jazz's greatest lyricists, at the time, Allison was making the transition from being a pianist who occasionally sang to becoming a vocalist who also played his own unusual brand of piano. In addition to the original versions of "Your Mind Is on Vacation," "I Don't Worry About a Thing (Because I Know Nothing Will Turn out Right)" and "It Didn't Turn out That Way," he sings bluish versions of two standards ("Meet Me at No Special Place" and "The Song Is Ended") and plays five instrumentals with his trio.
