Description
This is a rare, out of print, limited edition copy of the excellent Mosaic Records 4 LP boxed set of The Complete Black Lion And Vogue Recordings of Thelonious Monk. The first side and a half are from Monk's sessions in Paris recorded July 7, 1954. The remaining music is from the London recording sessions on November 15, 1971. The London sessions are the final recordings made by Monk as a leader. The trio was Monk on Piano, Al McKibbon on bass, and Art Blakey on drums. The London sessions are truly amazing. There is a very detailed booklet which describes the recording sessions and more. This is copy number 3225 of 7500.

The box top is near mint, nearly without flaws, but the box bottom does have a small split (see photo). The booklet is near mint also. The LPs are all near mint+. I got the record new and have only played it just a few times.
