Description
Title: The Complete Pacific Jazz and Capitol Recordings of the Original Gerry Mulligan Quartet and Tentette with Chet Baker Number MR5-102 Format: 5 Lps Edition: 3,294 of 7,500 Booklet Condition: Good condition. Flat, Not torn, but there are wrinkles and creases throughout. There are also yellow spots on a number of pages and the back cover (see Photos 2 and 3--I did the best to capture representative images. Not offensive or too distracting, but they are there. LP Condition: Unlike the booklet, the vinyl is in pristine condition--except Side IX does have a mark in cut 1--this may wash off. It looks more like material in groove than scratch. Because I don't have a turntable, I can't say any more Sleeves: I did not buy this set from Mosaic so I can't say whether these are original cases. They differ from many of the later sleeves, but they are lined and are all the same style and construction. I suspect they are original because why would a buyer of limited editions replace lined sleeves with lined sleeves? Box Condition: Better than the booklet, but hardly pristine. The binding on the folding part of cover shows cracks and wear. There are some white marks on back of box. Front cover shows little nits and bits--I haven't said it before, but as I sell these sets, it becomes clear that using black as the organizing theme was stupid. Black shows everything and when your dealing with paper and cardboard--nits and bits are a fact of life. Provenance: Purchased on ebay around 1999 or 2000 Reason for Sale: Change of hobbies Shipping Override: Shipping rates are for shipping within the 48 continental U.S. states and the District of Columbia. The $15 for U.S. priority mail is based on past experience with Mosaic sets and includes insurance. Those purchasing outside the continental U.S. will need to make payment for the actual postage. I will calculate the price based on your location and add it to the invoice. My recent experience for shipments to Europe is about $36.25 International Priority Mail (6 to 10 day delivery). You also will have to pay for insurance, which is more costly than shipping within the United States. Shipping Container. I bubble wrap the set, and have been placing it in a 14 by 14 by 6 cardboard container, with crumpled newspaper to cushion the bubble-wrapped set. Container size may change, depending on availability, but this size seems to work nicely. Risk of Loss: I bear risk of loss if package is lost or destroyed in transit. In case of loss in transit, you don’t pay, but I don’t have to find a replacement set. In other words, auction is null and void.
