Description
Title: The Complete Blue Note Recordings of the Tina Brooks Quintets.
Number: MD4-106.
Format: 4 lps.
Edition: 4,556 of 7,500.
Booklet Condition: Excellent. No marks or curls LP Condition: No scratches or fingerprints, except Side IV. The play-out band has a smudge/scratch, but there is a gap between that and music bands. Band 2 has some material in the vinyl. I suspect a good cleaning will remove. Band 3 has a scratch which goes across the ban on the diagonal and ends with the play out smudge/scratch. This may be part of the original vinyl. I don't remember scratching the record, but I no longer have a turntable so I can't say for sure whether it affects the record. I suspect the record will play with skips, but there may be pops.
Sleeves: Orignal and in very good condition. The piece of bubble wrap backing is in place.
Box Condition: Excellent. No dents, binding intact.
Provenance: Purchased from Mosaic.
Reason for Sale: Change of hobbies.
Shipping Override: Shipping rates are for shipping within the 48 continental U.S. states and the District of Columbia. The $15 for U.S. priority mail is based on past experience with Mosaic sets and includes insurance. Those purchasing outside the continental U.S. will need to make payment for the actual postage. I will calculate the price based on your location and add it to the invoice. My recent experience for shipments to Europe is about $37.25 International Priority Mail (6 to 10 day delivery). You also will have to pay for insurance, which is more costly than for foreign packages than shipping within the United States.
Shipping Container. I bubble wrap the set, and have been placing it in a 14 by 14 by 6 cardboard container, with crumpled newspaper to cushion the bubble-wrapped set. Container size may change, depending on availability, but this size seems to work nicely.
Risk of Loss: I bear risk of loss if package is lost or destroyed in transit. In case of loss in transit, you don’t pay, but I don’t have to find a replacement set. In other words, auction is null and void.
Musicians: On these disks (at different times) include: Lee Morgan, Sonny Clark, Art Blakey, Freddie Hubbard, Duke Jordan, Johnny Coles, Kenny Drew, Jackie McLean (1 cut only), Blue Mitchell, Paul Chambers, Art Taylor, and Wilbur Ware.
