Description
The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.
I accept returns and offer a full refund if you are not happy with your purchase.
Morrissey - 'Vauxhall And I' UK Vinyl LP - 1994
Catalogue No. PCSD 148 - Parlophone Records
'Vauxhall And I' has to be one of the most-loved of Morrissey's albums and, in the words of Record Collector magazine, "has been hailed by many as the most important work of his solo career". In the same article the magazine deemed that the LP ranks at number 45 in the Top 50 of Morrissey collectables. Whether you agree with this placement or not, the album was clearly pressed on far fewer numbers in the then-declining vinyl format relative to the more common CD pressings. The relatively few numbers available, coupled with the desirability of this album amongst collectors, has resulted in the LP appearing increasingly rarely for sale. The record is very nicely packaged, with a glossy picture inner sleeve and gatefold outer sleeve which opens to reveal a double-spread picture of Morrissey (see photo). This copy for sale is complete with its original inner sleeve, and has been preserved in collectable condition (see below). The vinyl and labels are in strong excellent condition, having been played a few times but being well looked-after. There are just a few superficial surface marks which can be seen if the record is held to the light, but nothing to affect play and the vinyl retains its glossy new-looking 'sheen'. The picture inner sleeve is also in strong excellent condition, with no writing or tears and just one mild (one inch) seam split in the middle of the right hand edge which is nonetheless neat and does not spoil the appearance. The impressive gatefold outer sleeve is also in strong excellent condition and shows little signs of wear other than a mild (one inch) beginning of a seam split in the middle of the top edge of the sleeve; again, this is not overly noticeable and is not a full split in the seam but rather a break in the surface. Other than this there are no significant creases and only mild corner wear. The spine is sharp and uncreased, as is the mouth of the sleeve. A very nice example which would grace any collection. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the item itself.
All my auctions start at 1P and have NO RESERVE. They are all 100% genuine, original versions. Some are in mint/new condition and some are used; all will go to the highest bidder. I offer a money-back guarantee if anything is described incorrectly. Postage and Packing is 2.00 in the UK for untracked and uninsured standard postage, this is subsidised by myself and the actual costs to me will, of course, be greater. Please do consider paying the extra 70p for tracked postage since there is nothing that can be done to find out what happened if the parcel is lost when standard postage is chosen. Shipping costs are greater for overseas buyers, but still subsidised and very good value; please check prices by using the options above or feel free to ask. I always take great care to package items well with strong mailing materials.See my other auctions for related rare items here. If multiple auctions are won at the same time (within a week), I will charge only the postage cost for the heaviest item and pay the remainder myself. This is the case wherever you live.
