One of the earliest Morricone albums, highly in demand because it's full of great lounge tracks such as "La donna gattina". Bruno Nicolai conducted, Alessandro Alessandroni did supply the chorus in his most famous way, and it even contains one beat track by "The Sorrows" (also composed by Morricone). All in all, musically one of the highlights from the 60s by Morricone. But that's not all. What you bid on here is not the 1985 re-issue which was done by Intermezzo. No, what you will get here is the first original pressing, done in 1966 as an industry promo only by RCA Italy in their legendary non-commercial series

This pressing was a limited to just 200 copies, handed out at people who worked for Italian TV and radio. This pressing was never sold in stores. And even though just a few copies were pressed, the quality of the record is outstanding! Really thick quality cover fully laminated on the front, deep groove quality pressing on a record with 165 gram weight. Please bear in mind that most copies that pop up are the '85 reissue with the same cover. This one, however, is the original '66 pressing with high collecting value. Own a milestone of Italian film music in its rarest format!
