Overall, anything with a grade of 7/VG+ will show some surface wear and/or needle marks but nothing deep. Anything with that grade will still play fine in my book. Obviously if it's an 8/EX or 9/NrMINT it will be in fantastic condition. Please note the subjective nature of grading; your VG+ might be my VG or my VG+ might be someone else's EX - you just have to pay attention, read my grading scale, and most importantly - ASK QUESTIONS.

HERE'S HOW I GRADE:

10 – MINT (Sealed, perfect condition.)

9 – Nr MINT (Like new with only a hint of wear.)

8 – EX (Very few blemishes. Maybe a couple light scratches on the vinyl or a few light creases to the jacket. Serious collectors will be satisfied with this grade.)

7 – VG+ (Average, used condition. Most of my vinyl and jackets are in this condition. Vinyl will show playwear/scratches, but nothing deep and it will play through fine. You may encounter a light "pop" or two or some light background noise.The jacket may have creasing, edgewear, ringwear, or corner dings but nothing significant. Record sleeve may have seam splits or creasing.)

6 – VG (Vinyl/jacket may will show a fair to moderate amount of wear .Vinyl may show a number of scratches and you will likely experience some background noise during playback, but NO skips. The jacket may show a fair amount of wear in the form of creasing, edgewear, ringwear, writing, seam splits, etc.)

5 – VG- (Rarely will I sell anything of this grade unless it is a collector item with some value. Moderate to heavy wear on the vinyl and/or jacket.)
