Description
A death metal classic - Altars of Madness. This is the original UK vinyl pressing from 1989. There are many pressings out there, re-pressings, colored vinyl, etc. - this is the only one that matters, the original 1989, black vinyl, with "Manufactured in England" on the back cover, and in the deadwax: "FAST ENOUGH, BORIVOJ?"
Jacket is missing the sticker that originally came on it. Otherwise it's nice, I'd say at least VG+. Inner sleeve is in nice condition. Vinyl is a strong VG+/NM-. Some light marks that don't affect play. Vinyl has been cleaned and placed in MFSL audiophile inner sleeve (anti-static, dust-free) so that the original inner is behind it inside the jacket. Jacket inside plastic outer sleeve.
This pressing is important not only because it's the original pressing of this monstrous debut, but it has a mastering that is distinct from the CD. More definition to the bass and drums, less "tinny" sounding than the CD. A must-hear! Crank this and drive your square, polite-society neighbors insane!
