Moongooners “Willie & The Hand Jive / Moongoon Twist” Essar Orig 7"
Absolutely brilliant early work from Scott Engel (aka Scott Walker of The Walker Brothers). Along with his long term friend John Stewart they played with The Moongooners and also wrote the b-side. Arrangement and production also go to Scott & John as noted by the Alec-Noel Production credit.
Rare disc, please note the labels are actually bright orange not red as shown in my scans. I just can’t scan get the color balance sorted on this one!
This was released in the USA in 1962, this is the original pressing which was poorly distributed and was later that year re-pressed on the Donna Label. Disc looks and plays EX, a few light paper storage marks: there are no scratches, skips or jumps, a nice copy.
Of interest to collectors of both Scott Engel and The Walker Brothers.
