Description

Monotones 45 on MASCOT

Book of Love / You Never Loved Me

Note: This record is in VG- which means the vinyl has noticible scratches. However, the record plays through without any skips. I'm only listing this record because it's one of the rarest doo-wop records. My asking price is low ($3.99) with no reserve. If you're only interested in the song, you may be able to find a better copy on ARGO records, which is not as rare.

I've received requests for more information. Here it is: This record is an original pressing, not a bootleg. I've collected records for over 34 years and unless a bootleg was made in 1957, which is unlikely because the record did not have any collectable value then, it's an original. The record has scratches; mainly a noticable swirly scratch that's about three inches long on the "Book of Love". It also has a deep scratch on the same side about 3/8 " which causes some pops but no skipping. The entire record plays through without skipping and while it looks vg- it actually plays vg.   I bought this record in Floral Park, New York in the early 80's and it appears to have come from an old jukebox. The trailing numbers etched on the vinyl in set type are M-3002 on A side and M-3003 and B side. 26 T appear on both sides in hand etching with the T below the 26.
