Here we have a clean 1968 first pressing in genuine MONO, harder to find *clean* than you think, coming off theit monumental first album, the second, Horizontal found the boys shimmering in their newfound popsike success and they come through as no fluke one hit wonder delivering a powerful album in line with the first and containing two smash hits ("World" & "Massachusettes" ... all in glorious MONO which contains different song mixes from the stereo issue and has the bold punchy sound unlike the more common stereo issue ...by 1968 record companies had all but phased out production of MONO records, making this a very hard find...look around and see just that!

Horizontal is the Bee Gees second real album. It was released in early 1968, and included the international hit singles Massachusetts and World. Other standout tracks include And the Sun Will Shine, a love song by Robin Gibb complete with psychedelic references to trains walking by and pastoral arrangement backing conducted by Bill Shepherd. Two other Robin-led tracks are worth noting. Harry Braff is a rocking story about a racing driver that is reminiscent Beatles or Kinks and the poignant Really and Sincerely. Psychedelia also abounds in the quirky Lemons Never Forget which without the familiar string backing and featuring guitar work from the legendary Vince Meloney (ex-guitar wizz w/Billy Thorpe & The Aztecs) as well as the piano and bass interplay of Maurice Gibb, shows a side of the early Bee Gees rarely seen.

CONDITION: The cover is strong and looks great, "EX" (excellent) tiny bb delete drill at top left, otherwise tops
The vinyl is all glossy, has a couple or so very minor paper-like scuffs, nothing close to bad, VG++ expect play in top levels...
