Description

Originally planned as a UK release (the original rear sleeve lists the High Road, Willesden address), this LP was in fact only released in Jamaica. From the rhythms used on it, it seems to have come out about 1970. This is the original pressing on Jamaican Coxsone 7728-2 (with a different typeface on the labels for Sides One, which calls it "Maney Maker"and Two) Most of the tracks are instrumental versions of then-popular tunes, apart from one vocal. Tracks are: Side One: Money Maker - Im & David (Fattie Fattie), Black is Black - Im & David (Is It Bacause I'm Black), Soul Brother - Im & David (Message from a Black Man), Black Man's Train - Lloyd Williams (vocal - Back Out With It), Great Gu Gu Mu Ga - The Boss Side Two: Feel It - Jackie Mittoo (Only Sixteen), Mixing - Jackie Mittoo, Candid Eye - Im & David (A Love I Can Feel), Stormy Night - Jackie Mittoo (Rainy Night in Georgia), Soul Walk - Im & David (Pick Up the Pieces - Burning Spear) WARNING: Eight tracks on this are in Excellent condition, but this is an original Studio One seventies pressing with two flaws. There is a click on the first thirty seconds of "Money Maker", although it doesn't affect play. "Feel It", though, has a visible pressing cut that causes a jump about 20-30 seconds in
