Description

You are bidding on the rare LP:

Mississippi Fred McDowell- 'I do not play no rock'n'roll", released by Capitol Records (SM-409). Yellow label. Made in the U.S.

*McDowell's last studio LP is a very fascinating one because he recorded with an electric guitar for the first time, hence the title of this record. However, he didn't change his rough slide blues style for the record (as Howlin Wolf and Muddy Waters did in the late 60's), he merely played in the same great style on the electric.

The Vinyl is visually-graded in VG+ condition. When looked at under a bright light, the record shows a very rich luster and a few, incredibly light surface marks.

The Cover is mostly still in its shrink and is graded in VG+ condition, just showing some incredibly minor edge wear.

Shipping is calculated by ebay at actual shipping costs for you, the consumer. For combined shipping, add $1 per additional LP. If you buy many records from me, they can all be shipped together in one box. Please contact me, if this is the case, and I will charge you actual shipping costs for what you purchase. International bidders, please keep in mind that once you go over 4 pounds (roughly 4 LPs), 1st Class International is no longer an option, and you must ship priority.

Insurance is your option as a buyer. International bidders, please keep in mind that you can only purchase insurance through the USPS if you ship express mail, which is very expensive. Please contact me if you would prefer this option. Otherwise, your record cannot be insured.

Please check out my other auctions. I am going to be listing a ton of rare records over the next two weeks. This will include some fine releases on Revenant records, and in the genres of Old Timey, Blues, Cajun, Country (including some very rare 45s), Western Swing, Hawaiian, Irish, Mexican, and as usual, some serious oddities. Check 'em out. I don't list bad records. Nothing but great rarities, all starting at $4.95 with no reserve!

Feel free to ask me any questions you might have.
