Description
This is a 1st pressing original copy, released in 1981 on Plan9 Records (PL1017), by the legendary NJ horror punk band the Misfits, of their 7" 45 rpm single Halloween. A great great band, both on record, and, especially, live, I saw them many times when they toured and came through Chicago, including their first Chicago appearance at O'Banion's. A great find for the collector of rare punk rock records.
Track Listing: Side A Halloween I Side B Halloween II
The original, picture sleeve is in good shape (VG): some minor creasing, in particular on the upper right of the front of the sleeve. Some light scuff marks on the front of the sleeve. Maybe some very light ring, almost imperceptible, ring wear, that is only really visible when moved around underneath a light source. A tiny nick that doesn't completely puncture the sleeve in the upper right corner. No splits or seam rips, but some wear along the seams.
The vinyl is in good shape: VG: a minor scratch or nick on side 2, that doesn't seem to affect the sound quality. The labels look very good, no stains, no fading, and no wear. Masterdisk is stamped on side 1 of the vinyl. There does seem to be a flaw in the vinyl, on the outside edge before the start of the playing groove, that may be a manufacturing flaw, or, maybe, a very minor hairline crack, which does not affect the play of the record at all. I have looked at this with a magnifying glass, and I am still not sure what it is; it is only visible when moving the record around under a strong light source. Played only a few times (including once recently to assess the sound quality), the vinyl still looks shiny and clean, and is a great copy for someone lucky enough to own it.
Please, do not bid on this record if you have no feedback,or poor feedback, on Ebay.
If you are a winner of this auction, please pay, via PayPal, within 3 days of the end of the auction; once you have paid, I will ship your record as quickly as possible. I make every effort to ship your record the same day you pay, provided it is early enough for me to print a shipping label and get to the post office, and, of course, the post office is open that day.
I do have a $4.50 handling charge, to partially cover my costs for insurance and packaging materials (heavy duty box and 4 sheets of foamboard). The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges.
Once you receive your record, please let me know it has arrived, by entering your feedback on ebay as soon as possible. PayPal has started a new policy, for all new sellers with fewer than 100 hundred sales, placing payments on hold in my PayPal account until delivery is confirmed and feedback is entered. I don't understand why they are doing this, as my feedback is excellent and at 100%, but it is what it is. i will be tracking your record on the USPS tracking site, to make sure you get your record in a timely manner.
If you win this auction, and are a U.S. buyer, I will ship your record via USPS Priority Mail.
If you are an international buyer, please do not pay until I have sent you an invoice with the correct shipping charges for your location. Before I send an invoice, I will contact you to determine which USPS shipping method you want me to use: 1st Class Mail International, Priority Mail International, or Express Mail International. Express Mail has the best protection, both for you as a buyer and me as a seller, but I will ship based on what you want me to use. Since I am now printing my own USPS shipping labels, I must declare the full value of the record for customs purposes. If you choose 1st Class Mail, the package can not be insured, and ebay's buyer protection program will not apply.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to send me a message on ebay. I will reply as quickly as I can, certainly by the next day.
Happy bidding!!!
