MISFITS "DIE, DIE MY DARLING" on SMOKEY BROWN/STREAKED TRANSPARENT VINYL.
b/w Mommy, Can I Go Out And Kill Tonight? and We Bite.
This is the "true" original (and often overlooked) 1984 pressing that has begun to get some attention in recent years.
Contrary to and with all due respect to the information at Misfits Central, it is unknown how many of these truely exist among their opaque black first pressing counterparts who already seem to have a seemingly large quantity of supposedly 5000. Technically (not to be confused with the more common 3rd pressing), their partially-transparent existence isn't even documented in the MC discography and most collectors have come to know it's quite a rare, yet official (non-bootleg) find within the first pressing of this EP. Here's YOUR chance to score this scarce piece of wax! This is THE transparent brown version of the Die Die you've been looking for. Bid with confidence.
HERE ARE THE SPECS:
Sleeve is charcoal black with light pink/peach logo.
Sleeve cardboard/paper is brittle and yellowed (not white or grey)
Hell-Bent (not Evilive) labels.
No barcode whatsoever.
PL-903-A/B and 5/84 etchings.
No "MZ" or "G2" etchings.
No S8, S9, S10, etc. etchings.
No S-25472 or S-25473.
CONDITION:
Sleeve is definitely is used condition with some ringwear, light corner bends and minor seam splits.
Please note that it's extremely uncommon to find this particular sleeve in kickass condition.
Sleeve also has a little sticker residue. I give it a 6.5 out of 10. Probably VG-
Vinyl is in used/cared for condition and has normal use (very light surface marks). I'd say VG+ to EX-
Label on Side A has some scattered bubbling through about half of it. This is a somewhat common accurance that happens straight from the pressing plant, simply due to the labels being placed onto the vinyl improperly. Does not affect play (although I wouldn't recommend playing it any more than it has been, because of its value).

As if this vinyl isn't an uncommon enough find as it is, there's one more addition to this description which I've never seen on a Misfits record before. Every now and then, you'll see a black or colored vinyl that may have a very light streak or smudge of a different color in it. That appears to be the case with this vinyl, with the exception of one rather screwy thing... THEY LOOK LIKE GOLD FLAKES?! I have no idea what the story is behind this, but these little flakes are definitely NOT on the surface of the vinyl; they are mixed in with the wax and are in about a 1.5" long streak/smudge coming from the center. Again, I'll have more pictures up by this Friday. This oddity may be a little hard to photograph, but I'll do what I can.
