Minor Threat - Out Of Step 1983 US 2nd Press "Remix" VG/VG+
MINOR THREAT - OUT OF STEP Reclaim the roaring, ground-zero throne of American hardcore history with this phenomenal vintage vinyl pressing of Out of Step by Minor Threat. Serving as the band's monumental 1983 definitive studio statement, this legendary 12" EP stands as a furious, lightning-fast masterclass in uncompromised punk-rock velocity and straight-edge ethics. The rich analog grooves effortlessly unleash the full, visceral velocity of the band's dual-guitar assault—driving flawlessly from the blistering, jagged rhythms of "Betray" and "Look Back and Laugh" to the anthemic, boundary-defining fury of the title track "Out of Step" and the hidden, sarcastic groove of "Cashing In". Complete with its iconic black-sheep artwork cover, this beautifully preserved vinyl artifact is an absolute, non-negotiable crown jewel for any serious alternative rock archivist or punk historian. 1983 US release by Dischord Records, catalog # DISCHORD 10. 12" EP plays at 45 RPM. "Second pressing" as the back cover is not black and is slightly "remixed" with orchestra tuning still at end of side B. 5,000 copies were pressed. Sleeve grades VG+. Great color/finish/gloss, no edgewear, strong spine/seams, no real ring wear. Corners are dinged. Original insert included. Vinyl grades VG. Mostly plays through with no issues or deficiencies. There is a visual blemish and scratch on track B4 (see picture) - it doesn't cause a skip or anything but it does cause some crackle and maybe a couple light clicks behind the music during the 20 seconds or so at that part of the song. Fortunately it's a loud part of the music so it's really not very noticable during play testing. Other than that visual blemish/scratch, the rest of the record is very clean with a couple light surface marks/hairlines that don't impact playback. The labels are a bit worn as well.
