Up for auction is an original first press of Minor Threat's In My Eyes 7" on red vinyl (only 875 or 850 copies with this sleeve). Absolutely essential DC hardcore and the birth of straight edge. I love this record--the songwriting is MT at its peak--but it comes up just short compared to Filler (8 really good songs vs 3 excellent songs and a cover song--quantity wins). Anyway, if you're looking at this auction, you probably know exactly what this sounds like.

Sleeve condition: very minor wear at the top, minor glue pull on one side of the back (looks like a the sleeves were stacked before the glue dried and then pulled apart), and very, very minor ring impression (no rubbing or wear, however).

Insert condition: looks great. A little wear from being unfolded and refolded, but nothing objectionable.

Record condition: plays beautifully! Minor crackle during the lead in/out, one small pop at the very end of Guilty of Being White, and just the barest hint of surface noise between the songs. There's some minor scuffing, a small scratch on the A side, and a small dimple at the lead in on the B side, none of which seem to affect the sound at all. This is definitely a copy that would fit nicely in anyone's collection--it spent many years in mine (and before that it spent most of the eighties and nineties in a box in someone's basement). Bid hard!
