Description
For your consideration is Minor Threat's In My Eyes 7" put out on Dischord / Limp in 1981. This is the 2nd pressing with yellow labels. The 2nd pressing was a run of 1,000. I guess I'd say the vinyl is VG- as there are some scratches and scuffs. I just played through both sides and heard no major defects or skips. That being said I was using the only available turntable which is admittedly of lower quality and probably has a low quality needle. Side 2 has what appear to be worse looking scratches but I reiterate that I noticed no major problems upon playing. There are also some fingerprints.
As for the cover, somebody wrote the letters ONK on the M in In My Eyes. It is very tiny handwriting but noticeable nonetheless. On the lables on side one somone also wrote in tiny letters: Monk and then Rock using the O from Monk going across to write Rock going down. There is ring wear. There are NO seem splits. The glues has dried out and a simple re-glue would seal the sleeve right back up. On the inner part of the sleeve somone has again written monk in tiny letters. The back of the sleeve has ringwear. Corners of the sleeve look pretty good, a little ding in each but nothing major. Insert included.
As it stands now with roughly an hour left in the auction there is a 3rd pressing which is described to be in better shape going for roughly $225. The 3rd pressing was a run of 2,000 making it less rare than the 2nd though nothing is more rare than the Cousins sleeve though I guess a true test press would be.
Due to both incompetent buyers and customs agencies I will not ship internationally unless contacted before the auction ends. If you are outside of the United States of America and bid on my auction without contacting me beforehand I reserve the right to cancel your bid or cancel the transaction.
